Alan Wake is a psychological horror adventure from Remedy Entertainment. It was originally released as an Xbox 360 exclusive which later made its way to PC. The game has been reviewed positively by critics and received some post-launch story DLC that teased a potential sequel to the game.
Remedy Entertainment appears to have trademarked a new title for the game which hints at a potential sequel. This title is called Alan Wake’s Return and it appears to be trademarked by Remedy Entertainment recently. This title was also seen in the last post-launch DLC of the game which teased a return of the character Alan Wake for a sequel.
Remedy Entertainment has also worked on a prototype of the game that showed teased some new gameplay mechanics. They wanted to blend the dynamic action with the supernatural elements for the prototype. Unfortunately, they did stop working on it it shortly after prototype was finished but if the new trademark listing is believed, this could be their next project after Quantum Break.
Quantum Break is the latest project of Remedy Entertainment which is launching on April 5th, 2016 for the Xbox One and PC. Users who pre-order Quantum Break can get their hands on the original Alan Wake with all of its DLCs and the spin-off called Alan Wake’s American Nightmare. The inclusion of both of these games further gives support to the release of a potential sequel.
