Remedy’s Control Will Launch On August 27 For PS4, Xbox One, And PC

Remedy Entertainment are fairly well known in the industry with their work on Max Payne and Alan Wake. They are trying to return to their roots with Control, an exciting third-person shooter with a unique supernatural hook to it.

Control is Remedy Entertainment’s first new project after working exclusively with Microsoft on Alan Wake and Quantum Break. Control focuses on the role of Jesse Faden, who is a new director trying to take control of a secretive agency in New York and protect it from otherworldly threats.

Those who pre-order the regular edition of Control will get two exclusive in-game items; the Tactical Response Gear outfit for Jesse and a Crafting Resources Pack. There are additional rewards given for the PS4 users who will get Rare Service Weapon and Player mods, the Astral Dive suit for Jesse and two themes showcasing the unique world of Control.

There is a physical retail Deluxe edition available for $69.99 that comes with collectible FuturePak Exclusive Metal Packaging and limited-edition art cards. The digital deluxe edition is a little expensive at $79.99 but includes all of the content from the PlayStation 4 base version as well as an extra side mission, “Isolation” and an additional exclusive outfit, Jesse’s Urban Response Gear. This version will also come with two Expansion packs, “The Foundation” and “AWE” (available at a later date following launch). Each pack will contain new locations, story content, side missions, and mods.

Control will be out on April 27 for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC through the Epic Games Store.
