Fans of Resident Evil 2 can enjoy a free gameplay mode called The Ghost Survivors and classic costumes for Resident Evil 2 as part of the post-launch content plans for the game.
Resident Evil 2 will get the classic costumes from the PS1 original for both Leon and Claire. These outfits are not included in the base game but will have to be purchased as DLC for a limited amount of time. They will be offered through special promotions like buying the 3000 yen PlayStation Store credit. Capcom will make them free on March 22nd so anyone can purchase and download these DLC costumes afterward.
Resident Evil 2 is also getting a The Ghost Survivors gameplay mode that will feature randomized elements. The confirmed playable characters, for now, are Kendo, a USS Member, and Katherine playable. These are not playable in the main story mode so this is a special case. Capcom has also confirmed an in-game store for items but assured that it is not tied to some microtransactions.
Resident Evil 2 will be released on January 25th, 2019 for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. The game is developed and published by Capcom.
