Resident Evil 2 retail copies are out so we had the chance to get the game. Here’s the download size of Resident Evil 2’s day one update and its changelog.
Just like it is the case with almost every game this generation, Resident Evil 2 will require you to download an update before you can play the game on your console. This update is thankfully quite small so the download won’t be that much of an issue unlike Black Ops 4 or Fallout 76.
The download size of Resident Evil 2 update is roughly 533 MB as you can see in the image. This is applicable only for the retail version which you can grab early thanks to many of the big stores breaking their release date.
Resident Evil 2 update version 1.01 patch notes are useless since they don’t mention anything important. If you are still curious to see the changelog, it simply says the following.

Resident Evil 2 is a full remake of the original game and features Leon and Claire in the lead role. It is developed on the new RE Engine and will launch on PC, PS4, and Xbox One on January 25, 2019.
