Resident Evil 4 HD Remake Is One Step Closer To Reality

Resident Evil 4 put the franchise back on the spotlight and it did this in a big way. The game was revolutionary for its time and it is still considered one of the first games to introduce the over-the-shoulder third-person camera perspective that was later used by every big-budget action game.

Resident Evil 4 has received a lot of ports and remasters for various platforms. After launching almost 2 generation ago for the Game Cube and then later ported to the PlayStation 2, the game was released for the Nintendo Wii, PC, PS4 and Xbox One. Despite all these re-releases, it has never received a proper HD remaster and most of its textures don’t stand the test of time that well.

Some ardent Resident Evil fans are working on a full HD Remaster for the game, which is essentially a remake since it completely changes every texture in the game. They no longer look outdated and blurry and are properly made with full research and specifications of the original texture so they are as authentic as possible.

The latest release of this mod for Resident Evil 4 is available to download now, and while this is not the Final version of the mod, it still revamps a lot of the game’s texture making it the best version to play for those who want have the PC version. You can grab it from here.

There is no ETA on when they will release the final version for the mod but since they have been working on it for a long time now and it seems to be near completion, it is best to wait just a little longer and get the complete experience.
