Resident Evil 4 Launches On PS4 And Xbox One On August 30

Capcom has confirmed the release date for the upcoming port of Resident Evil 4 for the PS4 and Xbox One. Just like Resident Evil 5 and 6, this version of the game will run at native 1080p and 60 fps on the current generation consoles.

Resident Evil 4 is the critically acclaimed entry in the popular series that was released to universal acclaim. It has achieved a cult status among fans and it was responsible for shaping the future of the franchise. The game was directed by series veteran and creator, Shinji Mikami. It features an over-the-shoulder camera perspective and removed Zombies for the first time in the series, replaced by a new type of enemies called Las Plagas.


Resident Evil 4 will feature all the extras that were added in the game throughout its re-release on a variety of platforms including Ada Wong Side Story, Mercenaries Mode, New Game Plus and Costumes and Weapons.

Resident Evil 4 was originally released for the Nintendo Gamecube. It later made its way to the PlayStation 2, Nintendo Wii, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC. It has been basically ported to every major platform so far.

Resident Evil 4 will be released digitally as well as for retail in North America for the price of $19.99. The game is currently confirmed for the PS4 and Xbox One.
