The world of Resident Evil 7: Biohazard is absolutely teeming with horrors that want to kill you. And if you manage to survive the onslaught of these enemies, chances are that you might not be in the best of shape.
And while the player character Ethan Winters can regenerate his health after a set amount of time has passed by in the game, the amount regenerated varies greatly depending on what difficulty you’re playing at.
In Easy mode, players recover health quickly, but are only able to regenerate half of their total health.
In Normal difficulty, health regenerates a bit slowly, and players can only regenerate about a fourth of their total health.
In Madhouse difficulty there is absolutely no health regeneration afforded to the player, and the only way to gain back lost health is to use healing items.
Speaking of which, there are three health items present in the game. These are:
Herbs:
The staple of any Resident Evil game, Herbs heal about one-fourth of the player’s total health.
First Aid Med:
Made by combining a Herb with a regular Chem Fluid, the First Aid Med heals about a half of your total health.
Strong First Aid Med:
The strongest healing item in the game, the Strong First Aid Med heals you completely but it’s crafting components are hard to find.
The player can also make use of Steroid Upgrades, which not only raise Ethan Winter’s maximum health, but also recover all of it.
Released on 24 January, 2017, Resident Evil 7: Biohazard is available now on the Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and the PC.
