Resident Evil series had a great start last year with the release of Resident Evil 7 for the PS4, Xbox One and PC. It is also considered one of the best implementation of a VR in game with the exclusive support for the PlayStation VR.
Resident Evil 7 might be out now but there is still plenty to look forward to, especially with the announcement of Resident Evil 2 Remake. This has been in development for more than 2 years by now and it seems the marketing might be officially starting soon as the official social media accounts for Resident Evil series have now started to change their profile pictures with an old design of the Resident Evil logo but with a new look.
This discovery was made by user Dusk Golem from resetERA forums who speculates that this could lead to a potential announcement for the long awaited Resident Evil 2 Remake. Fans have been long demanding a remake for it since the launch of the Resident Evil 1 Remaster for the current generation consoles.
Resident Evil 2 is famous among the fans because it introduced two of the most popular protagonist in the series: Leon Kennedy and Claire Redfield. Both of these have since starred in multiple games and CGI movies and remain popular even today.
Capcom hasn’t shared any official details for this brand new remake so it remains to be seen if they will go with the old school fixed camera view, or switch to a more focused third person view as it was the case with all of the Resident Evil games starting with Resident Evil 4.
