The retail version of Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition has now been delayed until June. The delay is in order to allow the title to include the very latest content, and updates.
A tweet sent from XboxLive’s very own Major Nelson revealed that the title will now be launching on June 4, 2013, rather than the original date of April 30. Larry ‘Major Nelson’ Hryb’s tweet read; “FYI: In order to include the very latest content, the retail version for Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition has been delayed until June 4 (US).”
Minecraft shifted well over six-million copies when the title hit the Xbox 360 arcade as a digital release when it launched May last year. We’re expecting the same kind of numbers when Notch Persson’s creation launches as a physical copy in June.
Obviously, if you can’t wait for the physical copy of Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition, you could just download the game via the XboxLive Marketplace.
