With just a few months to go until the release of Destiny’s latest expansion, Rise Of Iron, Bungie has announced plans for a preview livestream event to showcase some of the DLC’s upcoming content.
The event, which has been named the Cosmodrome Winter Tour, will stream on Bungie’s official Twitch channel on July 20th, 10 AM Pacific Time. The livestream won’t actually explore the Plaguelands though, the new area set to debut in the expansion, and will instead focus on showcasing how the world of Destiny has evolved over it’s lifetime.
Rise Of Iron is set to be the fourth expansion for the game, and although not much else is known about it, we do know that it will explore the story of Lord Saladin and the Iron Lords. According to the official website, some of the content included in the expansion is:
- New Story Campaign & Quests
- New Armor and Gear
- New Weapons
- New Raid
- Maximum Light Increase
- New Strike
- New Plaguelands Zone & Social Space
- New Crucible Mode & Maps
- New Enemy Faction and Bosses
Additionally, it will also be the first piece of content that will not be coming to legacy consoles (Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3). And, beginning in August, progress will no longer be shared between the same console family and will instead branch out into last-gen and current gen. Which means that if you have not yet transferred your progress to current-generation consoles, you have until August to do so, at which point the feature will no longer be available
Destiny: Rise Of Iron is set to launch on September 20, 2016 on the Xbox One and PlayStation.4 for $29.99.
