In the gameplay trailer we see Lara navigating out of a cave, through a blizzard to reach the summit. It seems the game naturally inherent platforming elements from its prequel. And not surprisingly, the gameplay feels quite scripted and circles around set pieces in the trailer. In visual and performance terms, the game looks breath taking and seamlessly moves in and out of cutscenes, cleverly handling loading times. There were some frame rate hiccups here and there but we expect them to be ironed out when the game releases at the end of the year.
Rise of the Tomb Raider comes out this fall on November 10 as a timed exclusive for the Xbox One and Xbox 360. PS4 and PC versions are slated to release some time later next year.
