Rise of the Tomb Raider is now available for pre-load on Steam. It will be released on January 28th but if you have pre-ordered the game, you can pre-load it ahead of the official launch and play it as soon as it unlocks on Steam.
Rise of the Tomb Raider pre-load is surprisingly smaller in size compared to the Xbox One. The full game installed to hard disk with all the updates and excluding the DLCs takes around 20.8 GB of space on Xbox One, while the PC pre-load requires 17.3 GB download and around 18.9 GB install space. It is possible that the texture quality is the same for both platforms, judging from the download size.
Square Enix has recommended a high spec PC to run Rise of the Tomb Raider with all its graphical bells and whistles. They have also shared some stunning screenshots from the PC version of the game giving us a glimpse at what to expect in term of fully maxed out graphics on PC.
Rise of the Tomb Raider was released on November 10th for the Xbox 360 and Xbox One. The game is surprisingly a very decent port on the Xbox 360 and looks to be the same for the PC. It will release on January 28th for PC while PS4 users will have to wait until Fall 2016 to get their hands on it.
