After months of waiting, Rockstar has finally given us a taste of Grand Theft Auto 5‘s gameplay with it’s new gameplay trailer. Before this, we had seen character trailers, showcasing each playable character, and the original trailer which showed us the game’s world.
The trailer shows off a lot things, including vehicles, switching between characters and a glimpse of the multiplayer mode. Combat seems to have improved greatly, with better focus towards the aiming mechanics and weapon-changing, both of which were a little awkward in GTA IV. The world is exponentially large and there is a lot to do. I’m afraid the line between reality and video games will disappear when GTA V is released; it’s incredibly immersive.
You can watch the trailer for yourself below:
According to the trailer’s narrator, we’ll see more of the game’s multiplayer later. Hopefully, ‘later’ refers to ‘soon.
Rockstar released some information about the game earlier and told us about the game’s mandatory 8GB install on both the PS3 and Xbox 360. This isn’t much of a surprise since a game of such large caliber definitely can’t possible run directly from a disk. Futhermore, the Xbox 360 version of the game will come with two discs, whereas the PlayStation 3 version will only have one disk (due to the higher capacity of BluRay disks).
