Rumor: Call of Duty Ghosts runs on new engine, features new story and cast

Another Call of Duty Ghosts leak hit the Internets today and this time it’s from Tesco once again. Tesco put up the previously removed Call of Duty Ghosts listing up again on their website along with a description of the game, they’ve removed the newer listing now too.

The description of the game suggests that Call of Duty Ghosts will be running on a brand new engine and will feature a new setting with a brand new set of characters. We doubt that the new engine that they’re talking about is the next gen Activision engine shown off a few weeks ago at GDC because that was for next gen consoles, Ghosts is supposed to also arrive on the Xbox 360 and PS3 so my bet is that they’ve create a brand new dedicated Call of Duty engine to ensure that smooth 60fps on current gen consoles, but hey, that’s just me rambling.

Call of Duty: Ghosts ushers in the next generation of the franchise, delivering a riveting all-new gameplay experience built on an entirely new story, setting and cast, all powered by a new next-generation Call of Duty engine.
Also if the game will be in a brand new setting then the story might not be connected the Modern Warfare games after all. The game is rumored to be revealed on May 1st so just a few days left till we find out more.
Looking forward to Call of Duty Ghosts? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
