Ryse: Son of Rome is an upcoming ambitious project of Crytek which will be released exclusively for the Xbox One. Ever since its reveal, Ryse: Son of Rome has seen many hurdles but those hurdles were not in the way of the native resolution to be 900p. Cevat Yerli, President and CEO of Crytek, stated that tthe target of 900p native resolution was a choice and was not based on any hurdle.
Ryse: Son of Rome’s embargo date on its reviews has not been lifted and will be lifted on the day before Xbox One officially launches. In the previews that many sites put up, Ryse: Son of Rome was not well received and was subject to a lot of criticism citing that it is another ‘QTE button mashing fest’.
However, Xbox Live and its users think otherwise. Recently it has been surfaced that Ryse: Son of Rome received 4.5 out of 5 stars on Xbox Live from over 644 ratings terming the game is ‘exceptional’ or ‘phenomenal’. These ratings were found on the Xbox One SmartGlass app. Most of the times these ratings do have some bias in them but if this is true and that the game has been rated by 644 different individuals (which may include big review sites), then everyone maybe in for a surprise.
