Shadow Warrior 2 coming to PS4, Xbox One and PC

The sequel to Devolver Digital and Flying Wild Hog’s Shadow Warrior refresh has been announced. Shadow Warrior 2 will be released on the major platforms PS4, Xbox One and PC. The exact release date is not confirmed yet, but the game is due to come out some time in 2016.

The sequel will feature four-player co-operative multiplayer on launch and will be a treat for fans of the Shadow Warrior series. Lo Wang, the main character in the series, returns in the sequel with all his modern ninja mercenary glory. This of course includes all the gore and destruction that follows in wake of his signature katana, shurikens and fictional guns.

Devolver Digital describes the sequel in the following words, “Shadow Warrior 2 is the stunning evolution of Flying Wild Hog’s offbeat first-person shooter following the further misadventures of former corporate shogun Lo Wang. Now surviving as a reclusive mercenary on the edge of a corrupted world, the formidable warrior must again wield a devastating combination of guns, blades, magic and wit to strike down the demonic legions overwhelming the world. Battle alongside allies online in four-player co-op or go it alone in spectacular procedurally-generated landscapes to complete daring missions and collect powerful new weapons, armor, and arcane relics of legend.”

According to their description it seems Devolver Digital and Flying Wild Hog are going to use the full potential of current-gen consoles to offer graphically rich scenes and game-play. We look forward to seeing some crisp stone-cold mercenary action from Lo Wang in this sequel.
