Shenmue was once considered one of the most expensive game however it no longer holds the record. It was also an extremely ambitious story focused open world game that told an epic tale of love and betrayal. The story in Shenmue is finally culminating with the last game, Shenmue 3, being funded on Kickstarter and currently in developed at Ys Net under the direction of Yu Suzuki, who is also the creator of Shenmue.
Sega has now announced a HD remaster for the first 2 Shenmue games that will be released for the PC, PS4 and Xbox One. You can watch it in action in the launch trailer below. The boxart can also be seen for it while there is no word on a potential Nintendo Switch version for this HD remaster.

Shenmue 1 & 2 will launch later this year for the PS4, PC and Xbox One. The development of this port is being outsourced to a different developer while it will retail for $29.99. There is no launch date given for it but expect to hear more about it at the upcoming E3.
