Shenmue III’s crowdfunding campaign has finally concluded after the game was announced three years ago back at E3 2015.
Although the Kickstarter finished shortly, the crowdfunding on developer Ys Net’s website has been going on ever since and was set to finish in September. The numbers are finally out and we now know that Shenmue III managed to raise $7,179,510 with 81,087 funding the development. Do note the numbers are separate from the Kickstarter, which raised above $6 million.
Shenmue III will release next year on August 27, 2019 for the PS4 and PC. The game is still some time away but when you consider how long fans have been waiting for, a few more months is nothing.
