Electronic Arts has announced that the expansion pack for The Sims 4, named as Get Together, will be released on December 8. The Gamescom announced in August, 2015 that the next expansion pack for the game will include a new region called Windenburg. Along with the new region, the expansion pack will also include a DJ and the ability to make your own club.
The senior producer of the game, Lyndsay Pearson, exclusively mentioned in a blog post that this expansion is about Sims getting together in really exciting new ways, where she loved seeing the reactions of the people towards the news. She also closely followed all of the comments and discussions by the people on social media. The enthusiasm and feedback of the people inspired her to work even harder to make sure that this pack is everything it could be. She has also decided to take a little more time to work on the expansion pack.
She also clarified that the developer Maxis is working on the game to add more perfection. She quoted her explanation as,
We think this time will allow us to make the experience even bigger, better, and cooler.
In other news about The Sims, Maxis’s manager Lucy Bradshaw left EA following 23 years with the company. After she left EA, CEO Andrew Wilson will focus on the Maxis development, including The Sims and SimCity.
