Skyrim PS3 vs. PS4 Comparison Reveals The Visual Improvement Of Remaster

The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim is one of the best selling Western RPG and it is finally getting a release on the current generation consoles with the upcoming Skyrim: Special Edition.

The game is set to launch on October 28th for the PS4, Xbox One and PC. This is a remastered version of the original cult classic, that was released back in 2011 for the PC, PS3 and Xbox 360. This remaster offers improved texture quality, new visual effects and also introduces mods for the first time on consoles.

The lovely folks at PlayStation Access have released a comparison between the original Skyrim running on the PS3 and compared it to the remastered version on PS4. The improvements are immediately noticeable, as seen in the video below.

Skyrim: Special Edition will be released with all the DLCs from the original game and feature an improved resolution on the PS4. The game will also support user-made Mods, which elevated the PC version to new horizons. Hopefully we can get some excellent mod support after the launch of the game.

Skyrim: Special Edition will be released on October 28th for the PC, PS4 and Xbox One. If you already own the original game on PC along with all of its DLCs, you can upgrade to the remastered version free of cost, otherwise you will have to purchase a separate copy.
