Sonic and All-Stars Racing Transformed on PC is getting Shenmue’s iconic hero Ryo Hazuki as a DLC. The DLC can be now purchased from Steam for a price of $1.59.
Sega had earlier teased this DLC in the form of some in-game screenshots. The recently released iOS/Android version of Sonic and All-Stars Racing Transformed also included Ryo Hazuki. It is unknown whether Sega has any intention to release this DLC for the console and handheld version or not.
Sonic and All-Stars Racing Transformed is the sequel to Sonic and All-Stars Racing. It is developed by Sumo Digital and was released on a wide array of platforms including PlayStation 3, PlayStation VITA, Nintendo 3DS, Nintendo Wii U, Xbox 360 and PC. It was also ported to Smartphones recently.
Sega has been pretty vocal with this game’s support on PC. They have included some new characters for free on PC, that aren’t available on other platforms. Ryo Hazuki is also exclusive to PC for now but was released as a DLC. What’s more interesting is the fact that the license plate of Ryo Hazuki’s vehicle clearly hints at “Shenmue 3” or perhaps it is just a tease for the fans.
You can purchase and download the DLC from the Steam store here.
