Sony announces PS Vita Custom Menu Themes

Sony revealed at their pre-TGS conference that their handheld portable console – the PS Vita will be getting Custom Menu Themes very soon. The PS Vita’s predecessor – the PSP had custom theme support from an early date in its life cycle.

Fans have been requesting customization options for the PS Vita for quite some time now and it is great to see Sony listening and working on the feature. Sony explained that the functionality will be added in an update at a later date, although nothing specific has yet to be announced.

During the conference Custom Menu Themes for Danganronpa and Freedom Wars were shown off.

It’s not clear if the themes will be something only bought from the PS Store or will they be user customizable as well, we’ll keep you updated as we find out more.
