Sony Announces PS Vita Slim For North America, Borderlands 2 Bundle Also Announced

Sony has confirmed the release of the PS Vita Slim in North America at a press event today. Posting about this announcement on the official PS Blog, John Koller, VP of Marketing at SCEA talked about the features for this new PS Vita hardware revision.

The new PS Vita Wi-Fi model is approximately 20-percent slimmer and 15-percent lighter than the original version, with rounded edges to fit comfortably in your hands. The new model comes with 1GB of internal memory built into the system, and its 5-inch front touchscreen has a new high-definition liquid crystal display (LCD), giving you a high quality image that provides the same deep, immersive gaming experience that’s at the core of the PS Vita system.

Along with the announcement of a PS Vita Slim, Sony has also dropped the curtains on a release date for Borderlands 2 on the Vita. They have also announced a new bundle for the PS Vita, which will contain Borderlands 2, 8 GB Memory Card and a PS Vita Slim, and will retail for $199. A couple of games were also announced and some of them were given a release date.
