Spider-Man PS4 Early Concept Had A Different Mr. Negative Design, More Villain Info Shared

Spider-Man PS4 developer Insomniac Games has confirmed not just one but multiple classic villains for the game including Scorpion, Rhino, Vulture, Shocker, and Electro. They can be a part of the Sinister Six in the game that also has Mister Negative. There is also a mysterious character that was teased in the E3 2018 footage but it will remain a mystery until the game launches later this September.

Recently Insomniac Games were at E3 Coliseum to hold a panel on Spider-Man and had a lot of interesting stuff to share regarding the game. If you have been keeping with the initial reveal, the developers had revealed the first villain as Mister Negative. In the early phases of the development, he actually had a more young look with a different design than his current one. This was changed later in development because Insomniac Games were focusing on delivering a more mature story for the game.

They also shared concept art for all of the new villains from Electro to Scorpion. The concept art gives us a much closer look at the design of each villain that was not possible to see in the gameplay footage.

Regarding the design of each villain, we learn that they were all done by Insomniac Games in collaboration with Marvel. Electro has his traditional lighting etched on his face as scars. Scorpion can use his tail to infect others with Venom. Vulture was designed to be completely different from the movie and they gave him a yellow mask to make it appear like a beak.

Spider-Man PS4 will be out on September 7th exclusively for the PS4.
