Spider-Man PS4 Release Date Possibly Leaked Through Danish Retailer [Update]

Spider-Man PS4

Spider-Man PS4 was announced to release this year however Insomniac Games hasn’t really confirmed a time frame for it yet. The game seems to be rather far in development judging from the comments shared by the developers who are hard at work on it, and now an online retailer has listed a release date for the game that puts it firmly in the early 2018 release window.

Based on the listing by Danish retailer Coolshop, which also operates in the UK, the game might launch on April 27th for the PS4. This is the same retailer that leaked the release date for Grand Theft Auto V on the PS4 and Xbox One. Friday is also usually the release day for games so it seems plausible enough, however it is possible that after God of War PS4 was confirmed for April, Sony might move the game further in order to keep the spotlight on God of War. The original leaked date for God of War PS4 was in March which was officially announced as launching on April 20th early this week.

The screenshot taken above shows the release date for Spider-Man PS4 while you can see the listing yourself here. It might be changed in case of a leak or error so the screenshot can be seen as a reference.

Update: The listing has been updated after publishing this article. It now has the game listed as September 28th release, which fits in the Fall 2018 window rather than Summer or Spring 2018.

Spider-Man PS4 is being developed by Insomniac Games who have previously worked on the Ratchet and Clank series for the PlayStation platforms. The game is a PlayStation 4 exclusive and will be published by Sony Interactive Entertainment.
