Spyro Reignited Trilogy Delayed To November 13

Spyro Reignited Trilogy was all set to launch on September 21, but it was announced today that the game has now been delayed to November. This announcement was made by Toys For Bob, the developers of Spyro Reignited Trilogy. They didn’t state any reason for the delay but assured fans that the extra time will make it worth the wait.

Everyone here at Toys for Bob is so proud to be reigniting the original Spyro trilogy after all these years. We’re deeply committed to getting these games right, so we’ve decided to move the release date of Spyro Reignited Trilogy to November 13, 2018. I really hoped that you would be rescuing dragons and scorching Rhynocs sooner, but the Trilogy needs more love and care.  In November when you’re exploring the Dragon Realms, Avalar and the Forgotten Worlds, we know you’ll agree the extra time was worth the wait.

Spyro Reignited Trilogy has been under controversy recently due to the game requiring a content to be downloaded for the last 2 games in the trilogy. According to the pre-order listing, only the first game is directly playable from the disc while the others required a content download before they could be playable.

Activision didn’t clarify if this meant downloading both games online or if this warning was for mandatory day one patch, but it now looks more likely that the game could have received a huge update after the delay to November.

Spyro Reignited Trilogy will be out on November 13, 2018, for the PS4 and Xbox One.
