Spyro Reignited Trilogy Original vs. Remake Box Art Comparison

Spyro Reignited Trilogy is a full remake of the first 3 games. As a remake, it has revamped the art style and visuals and now we also have a comparison of how the box art has been remade for the new games.

Recently, Activision delayed the Reignited Trilogy from its September release to November. The cause of this delay was unknown but it might have to do with the controversy surrounding the required content download despite the physical release of the game. Activision commented on it and said that it was a standard for most games however they later announced a sudden delay which raised questions.

The remade box art for each Spyro game was shared by the official Spyro The Dragon Twitter account so decided to compare them to see how they stack against each other. The original release has its own charm but Toys for Bob has done a great job in making sure the art style retains most of its charm.

The most changes can be noticed in the final box art where entire characters have been redrawn and modernized to the current generation standards. They look different as a result, however, I don’t think this has an effect on the overall quality of the game.

Spyro Reignited Trilogy will release on November 13, 2018, for the PS4 and Xbox One.
