At this E3 press event, CEO of Square Enix, Yosuke Matsuda took to the stage and announced a brand new console RPG called Project Setsuna, which is scheduled for a global release sometime in 2016. The announcement teaser showcased some spectacular artwork from the project, depicting a snowstorm and a scenic village locale.

Matsuda mentioned that this game isn’t a remake or a spin-off, but rather a completely new series from Square Enix. He went on to say that development is already underway and that more details regarding the game will be made available at a later date. The studio behind the game, Tokyo RPG Factory, is also a brand new ensemble.

Not a whole lot is known about the game or the developer is known at this point, but we’ll be keeping a close eye on this project in the months to come. Until then, let us know what you think of the game’s concept art.
