Square Enix is hosting another E3 2019 press conference this year. They did that back in 2018 as well. Their press conference will likely reveal their upcoming and current projects.
Final Fantasy VII Remake is one of the most anticipated games from Square Enix and they are completely silent about it. They have just released Kingdom Hearts 3, which was directed by Tetsuya Nomura who is also the director for the upcoming Final Fantasy VII Remake.

Other evidence that points toward Final Fantasy VII Remake getting an announcement at E3 is with a concert which is planned right before E3. This has happened with Kingdom Hearts 3 and that’s when a release date was announced for it.
Other projects that were revealed in the past but didn’t get a release date or proper showcase include Project Babylon from Platinum Games. Square Enix can also reveal some new projects and we might hear more about their plans for the Final Fantasy series at the upcoming E3.
