Star Fox Zero announced at Nintendo’s E3 2015 Digital Event

At its E3 2015 digital event, Nintendo has announced a brand new entry in the Star Fox series for the Wii U, called Star Fox Zero. The game features brand new game mechanics, which includes new evasive maneuvers, gyroscopic controls, as well as transformable Ar-Wings!

According to legendary game designer Shigeru Miyamoto, the game’s transformation mechanics were originally planned for Star Fox 2, but the game ended up getting canned and this feature never made an appearance. All that is now about to change as Star Fox Zero is looking to revolutionize the Star Fox experience, not only with its larger maps and glorified visuals, but also via innovative new gameplay mechanics.

At this point, it is unknown whether Star Fox Zero will feature an online multiplayer mode, though a 4-player split-screen offline multiplayer mode should be a given.

Stay tuned for further updates on Star Fox Zero as they become available. Until then, let us know what you think about the game in the comments below.
