Star Wars Battlefront turns a year old today, and in celebration of the occasion, EA has revealed some new details regarding the game’s upcoming DLC Rogue One: Scarif.
The fourth and final expansion for Star Wars Battlefront, Rogue One: Scarif takes inspiration from Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. The expansion will include four brand new maps, including at least one set on the tropical paradise of Scarif that has been shown in trailers for the film.
The two new heroes added this time around will be Jyn Erso and Orson Krennic, both of whom will play major roles in the movie. According to the official post, the DLC will also feature a new multi stage game mode which will include both ground and space combat, similar to what we saw in the previous Death Star expansion.
As part of the game’s one year anniversary, the developers have also announced the Star Wars Battlefront: Ultimate Edition, a version of the game that comes bundled with all previously released expansions, as well as Rogue One: Scarif. It will also include a free Rogue One: X-Wing VR Mission for the PlayStation VR.
Finally, from 17th to 20th November, all those who own the game can jump into and play the Outer Rim, Bespin, or Death Star expansions absolutely free.
Released on 17th November, 2015, Star Wars Battlefront is available now on the Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and the PC. Rogue One: Scarif is set for release on 6th December, 2016.
