Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is Respawn Entertainment’s third-person, action adventure take on the franchise. The game will be single player and is being developed on Unreal Engine 4. The engine choice is certainly interesting as the developer previously used a modified version of Valve’s Source Engine for its Titanfall games and Apex Legends. They could’ve gone to use EA’s own Frostbite Engine made by DICE, but alas that’s not the case.
Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order was revealed back at E3 2018 but it was announced back in 2016 that Respawn Entertainment were working on their own Star Wars game. The game’s development team is fully star studded with Stig Asmussen, who previously directed God of War 3, serving as the game’s director and famed storyteller Chris Avellone of Fallout and Knights of the Old Republic fame helping with the game’s story.
Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is currently in development for PC, Xbox One and PS4. The game does not have a release date yet.
