Capcom has shared an update for Street Fighter V confirming that they are planning to release a new ‘Arcade Edition’ of the game. This will be sold for $39.99 and contain every character that is a part of the character pass 1 and 2 for Street Fighter V. As for those who have bought the original game at launch, they will get all the new Arcade Edition features and gameplay modes but not the free characters. Although they can still buy the character pass to get access to the characters.
Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition will be available both digitally and at retail and will sell for $39.99. You can watch its reveal trailer below confirming the Arcade Mode is returning as well.
Here are the new gameplay modes and features that will be a part of the upcoming Arcade Edition for Street Fighter V.
- Second V-Trigger for every character
- Arcade Mode
- Season Pass 1 and Season Pass 2 characters including Akuma
- Extra Battle Mode
- Gallery
- New Revamped UI
Aside from the new characters, all of the gameplay modes and features will be available to vanilla Street Fighter V users in the form of a free update. More details regarding some of these will be shared soon.
Street Fighter V is currently available for the PC and PS4.
