Capcom has announced today that their upcoming fighting video game, Street Fighter V will get a Story Mode for free in June. This was announced on Capcom’s official blog.
The Story Mode will be free for everyone and will be released as an update for the game. The Story Mode will come in two forms, Character Stories and Cinematic Story Expansion.
Through Character Stories, players will be able to know the background of every character and the reasons that drove them into fighting. It will also reveal what kind of relations they have with other characters. Character Stories will be released alongside the game, on February 16. The Cinematic Story Expansion, however, is the one that will be released after four months, in June.
Cinematic Story Expansion will serve as a bridge between Street Fighter III and Street Fighter IV as the stories told in it will take place between the events of these two games. This expansion will feature over one hour of cinematic content.
Along with this, Capcom also announced that the final beta for the game will take place at the end of this month, on January 30. Though the beta will be held for a very short period of time as it will end on January 31. Those who are interested in taking part in this beta can pre-order the game to get guaranteed access to this beta.
Street Fighter V is set to release on February 16, 2016 for PC and PS4. The game is developed by Dimps and published by Capcom.
