On December 15th, Nintendo released the brand new mobile game called Super Mario Run for iOS Devices. Less than a week after its release, Nintendo has released additional content for the game.
Earlier today, the developers released new decorations and a new building for the Kingdom Builder game mode. The new content includes Sparkly Snow Globe, Poinsettia Flowers and the festive Sparkly Christmas Tree.
The Sparkly Christmas Tree comes with its own ornaments and has presents under it. The tree will cost you 1,500 coins. The new poinsettia flowers will cost you 500 coins, while the new snow globe can be acquired by gathering a certain number of blue, purple and yellow toads.
The game has been a huge success so far. The new platformer beat the super popular, Pokemon GO, in Day-One downloads. On the day of release, Super Mario Run was downloaded by more than 3 million times. This is a new record, which was previously held by Pokemon GO.
Pokemon GO was downloaded 900,000 times on release, however, Super Mario Run had more than triple the amount of downloads. This number is very surprising, considering that Pokemon GO was a free download, while you have to pay $9.99 to play the complete version of Super Mario Run.
Super Mario Run is being developed and published by Nintendo and is available on iOS devices, with the Android version set to come out in 2017.
