Super Smash Bros. is also available on the Nintendo Wii U and if we see it next to the Nintendo Switch version, the difference in visuals and upgrade is absolutely massive.
Super Smash Bros. Wii U was the first HD Smash Bros that launched on the Wii U. It looked amazing back then, but with the release of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, how well does it hold up now. In our memories, the game might look good and even equal to the new Smash Bros. but a side by side comparison paints a completely different picture.
As seen in the video below, the difference is massive. The lighting is upgraded, the textures and character models now have more polygons so they look better. Animations are improved and the post-processing is a lot nicer looking now.
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is no slouch either in term of technical performance. The game runs at 1080p and 60 FPS on the Nintendo Switch compared to the 720p and 60 FPS of the Wii U. It is a better looking and more impressive game on the technical level compared to the Wii U version.
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate also boasts the largest fighter roster so far, and it has the more amount of stages in a Smash Bros. game since the series started all the way back on the Nintendo 64. Joker from Persona 5 was recently revealed as the first fighter to launch as part of the Season Pass DLC.
