Super Smash Bros Ultimate second DLC character has been discovered through datamining the game files, so the secret is now out in the open.
Earlier today, there was a new leak for Super Smash Bros Ultimate that listed the complete DLC character roster. This leak has been preceded by another leak for the Super Smash Bros Ultimate DLC characters, but there is no way to determine which one is the more accurate one. What was common between both leaks was that they listed the Dragon Quest hero Erdrick as one of the DLC characters and now datamine of the game files confirms that there is indeed a character named after him in the game files.
Looking at the files for the game, there are three characters listed in the DLC section. They are Packu, Jack and Brave. Jack was confirmed to be Joker from Persona 5 while Piranha Plant was a pre-order DLC. Brave is related to Dragon Quest because Brave is called “Yuusha” in Japanese, which is the class for the Dragon Quest hero.
Ok so since the secret's out, here's confirmation. Params in Ultimate confirm the code names of 2 future characters, "jack" and "brave".

Erdrick was already rumored earlier, so the only question is what kind of character Nintendo has planned for him. There can be palette swaps but it can be a set of multiple heroes with costume variations that are taken from the Dragon Quest series.
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is available now exclusively for the Nintendo Switch.
