Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag is perhaps one of the first cross generation game. It will be released on PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, Wii U and PC. It is releasing on a wide range of platforms. New screens have emerged that show the PS3 version in action.
These screens show that the game is native 720p on PS3. You can check out the screens below.
Assassin’s Creed 3 was also native 720p on PS3 but ran with a unlocked frame rate. It resulted in occasional judder when frame rate dipped on occasions. Assassin’s Creed IV seems to be using the same engine so it is not surprising to see it keeping the same native 720p resolution. These screens seem to show that Ubisoft has done a decent job in running the game on PS3 considering the scope of the world and the age of the hardware in question.
