Take-Two: GTA V DLC announcements ‘in the coming months’

It was fun while it lasted but all good things come to an end. Same can be said about GTA V. GTA V was 2013’s game of the year. A award it truly deserved but the game has gotten really boring, really fast.

It was hoped that Rockstar Games’ parent-company Take-Two would shed some light on the topic during today’s earnings call, but unfortunately we got the same line that’s been fed to us over and over. That is, Rockstar has “big plans for substantial story-driven add-on content in 2014”. We’ve all heard that before.

RSG_GTAV_Screenshot_281 GTAVTake-Two continued by saying they will have “more to say about this in the coming months,” the company teased today. However, some fans have taken it upon themselves to uncover some details and have succeeded in doing so. They dug up some potential future content.Over on the GTA forums, a user discovered, hidden within the game executable, files that indicate assassination missions, new special abilities, additional phone apps, and a few more weapons.

We will hopefully hear an official announcement, from Take-Two and Rockstar, regarding DLC content in the near future.
