Tales from the Borderlands Episode 3: Catch a Ride Review (PS4)

The third episode of the so far excellent Tales from the Borderlands is finally here. Find out if the Episode 3 titled Catch a Ride is any good as the previous ones in our review below.

Tales from the Borderlands Episode 3: Catch a Ride marks the midway of the five episode season. Episode 3 does more of the same as the first two episodes with developers Telltale adding in more characters to the mix while flushing out existing ones. The episode starts off with where the end of Episode 2 left off as Ryse and Fiona along with their crew try to escape the previous abandoned Atlas facility.

Catch a Ride introduces two new main characters to the game; Valory the “Queenpin” who is revealed to be the main villain of the game responsible for setting in motion the events of the previous two episodes. The second character is a cute robot whose name I won’t reveal as it spoils the surprise. Both the characters are a great addition to the cast.

Episode 3 focuses a lot on the character’s relationships with each other and even allows you to make amends with a certain character about something you may have done in the first episode. By the end of the episodes I felt I knew a lot more about the characters and their ambitions.

By the looks of the things Episode 4 will up the ante as the stakes get even higher. If you’ve been keeping up with the series then the third episode is a must buy.

This review covers the PS4 version of the game.

Tales from the Borderlands Episode 3: Catch a Ride Review (PS4)

Compared to previous episodes, Tales from the Borderlands Episode 3: Catch a Ride is a bit slower till the third act but sets up a lot on the game's background story and character development.
