Sega has released a new Sonic Racing game today with Team Sonic Racing. This new iteration is more in line with the first Sonic Racing game instead of Sonic All-Star Racing Transformed. They have also shared a live-action launch trailer celebrating its release.
Team Sonic Racing is a new arcade-style, team-based kart racing game developed by Sega. It is based on the Sonic the Hedgehog IP. The launch trailer for the game replaces the Sonic the Hedgehog character with live actors as they attempt to speed their way in a super market.
Sumo Digital, who has also worked on the previous Sonic Racing games, is behind this new iteration. The gameplay focuses on team-based actions where the power-ups and boosts are combined together in a team of three characters. You can pick between the different play style for characters and also customize your vehicles by making your way through the game.
Team Sonic Racing is available at retail or through digital channels for $39.99. It can be purchased for PS4, Xbox One, PC, and Nintendo Switch.
