During Microsoft’s E3 2016 press conference today, a gameplay trailer for the eagerly anticipated fighting game, Tekken 7, was revealed. The trailer prominently featured Street Fighter cross-over character Akuma, as he battled against Tekken’s Heihachi Mishima.
The gameplay footage showcased new game mechanics as well as the addition of destructible backgrounds. The game was also formally announced for the Xbox One by none other than Harada himself. A PS4 version had already been announced at last year’s Playstation Experience. There was no mention of a PC version during Microsoft’s E3 conference, however.
Tekken 7’s E3 2016 gameplay trailer can be seen below.
To celebrate the game’s announcement for Xbox One, Harada revealed that Xbox One and Xbox 360 owners alike will be able to download and play the Xbox 360 version of Tekken Tag Tournament 2 for free starting today.
Unfortunately, Tekken 7 won’t be arriving in stores anytime soon, as the trailer revealed a new release window of “Early 2017”. Share your thoughts on Tekken 7’s brand new trailer as well as its push to 2017 in the comments below.
