Tekken 7 director Katsuhiro Harada has recently shared some new information on the upcoming update for the game confirming that they have plans to fix the input lag that can be faced under certain circumstances in Tekken 7. There is around 8 frames of input lag on the PS4 for Tekken 7 and this makes it a less stable version than the Xbox One or PC release. The lag makes a huge difference for those who are playing Tekken 7 competently however the input lag issue only exhibits on certain hardware configuration so you can possibly enjoy the game without experiencing it.
We'll also update PS4 input lag (Actually it only occurred with certain wired pads) You should be able to experience it with next update.

This week RT@VicsageHubcity Harada I love you. When does that get patched into Tekken?

Yea It's wrong. UE4 eat 3-4frames & They don't know hardware side mechanism. We don't need such a "buffer". Measurement method is also wrong https://t.co/xVZMwazVFs

As Harada later clarifies in his tweet, the issue with the input lag was not related to software but the hardware side. Still Bandai Namco appears to have identified the issue that was causing certain devices to register a higher input lag and they are planning to release a new update this week that should address it.
Tekken 7 is available now for the PS4, Xbox One and PC. The game was developed by Bandai Namco Entertainment and it is the first Tekken game that is built for the ground up on Unreal Engine 4. The game also features PSVR and PS4 Pro support and it will also support the upcoming Xbox One X.
