Tetsuya Nomura Promises More News For Kingdom Hearts 3 In November

Tetsuya Nomura, who is the creative director of Kingdom Hearts 3 and ex-director of Final Fantasy XV, has revealed that they are planning to release more info about Kingdom Hearts 3 at the upcoming D23 Expo Japan in November this year.

In case you missed out the previous D23 Expo announcements, we had a chance to see first ever gameplay footage of Kingdom Hearts 3 and the announcement of Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 Remix for the PS3. It is pretty certain that we will get to see more of Kingdom Hearts 3 along with potentially more Kingdom Hearts related announcements at the upcoming D23 Expo.

Here is what Tetsuya Nomura had to say regarding D23 Expo in November (via Gematsu).

“We have some interesting things planned. There will be Kingdom Hearts III news, and various things, I think. Development on Kingdom Hearts III is going smoothly, but there will also be new announcements connected to it. As one of those new announcements, I think we should be able to announce a smartphone-specific development for the series in short order.”

Kingdom Hearts 3 was originally revealed at E3 2013 and then later got a gameplay reveal at D23 Expo Japan the subsequent year. Since then, the game has been confirmed to be in development on Unreal Engine 4 and the release date is still TBA.
