The Special Ammo is a sort of consumable which will apply to your equipped weapon. It will allow you to fire special rounds with increased damage. Special Ammo has three different types:
- Piercing – bullet creates a bleeding effect and adds damage
- Explosive – Creates an explosive effect adding explosion damage
- Incendiary – Burns the enemies adding burn damage
How to use Special Ammo in The Division 2?
There is no particular way to use the Special Ammo in The Division 2. When you pick up the ammo, it will apply to your equipped weapon automatically.
The rounds you will fire after that will be of special ammo and you will switch back to regular ammo when you run out of Special Ammo.
How to find Special Ammo in The Division 2?
The Special Ammo can be found in small red crates in different locations around The Division 2 map. So, chances are you will stumble upon it while roaming around the map but there is no fixed way to obtain Special Ammo.
How to differentiate between different types of Special Ammo in The Division 2?
There is no way to identify the type of special ammo. All of them will be found in small red crates and you will only find out after it’s applied to your weapon.
