The Last of Us Part 2 is one of the most anticipated PS4 exclusives but it is without any official release date. According to a new rumor, this might change soon as a new trailer and official release date will be announced later this week.
The source of this new rumor is Spanish Website GameReactor, which has cited their sources claiming that Sony is planning to share a new trailer for The Last of Us Part 2 which will deliver a release date later this week.
Hideo Kojima is also making an announcement for Death Stranding later this week. It is likely going to be a new trailer for the game. Sony has a new system to deliver game announcements with the State of Play event and since they are not going to attend E3, perhaps they will confirm a new State of Play with both The Last of Us Part 2 and Death Stranding getting an announcement. This is, of course, if this new rumor turns out to be true.
The Last of Us Part 2 production has mostly ended and work is in its final stretch of development if we go by the updates shared by Naughty Dog. It is one of the last major PS4 exclusives along with Death Stranding and Ghost of Tsushima.
