The Last of Us Part 2 Reaches Uncanny Valley In This Comparison of Real-Life Character Model

The Last of Us Part 2 was finally revealed with a proper gameplay footage at Sony’s E3 2018 press conference. The game will focus on a mature look for Ellie and introduce several new characters. One such character is Dina whose real-life face model has been now revealed.

It is impressive to see how Naughty Dog has managed to capture the likeness of the actress on the actual game. While Dina, whose real-life model is Cascina Caradonna, is being voiced by Shannon Woodward of Westworld fame, it hasn’t stopped her from posting about it on her YouTube channel.

The comparison above was shared by the actress herself and it shows the amount of work that has been done in order to make sure the game closely resembles the actress in real-life. According to her, in the start, her model had a fairly basic look and was completely bald once they scanned it and then Naughty Dog artists had to work a lot on it to make sure it resembles the actress. The picture was taken with a similar hairdo to show the realism that appears to be a hot topic for the game these days.
