The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel 3 Is Coming To PS4 In Fall 2019

NISA has announced The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel 3, and it is set to launch in Fall 2019 exclusively for the PS4.

The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel is an underrated JRPG series that has seen some great success. The third part of the Cold Steel saga will be released exclusively for the PS4. This is despite the availability of the first two games in the series for PC. There is no announcement of a potential PC version.

The official press release gives some information on the Western localization for Cold Steel 3, which is switching gears from XSEED to NISA.

When it seems as if peace has finally settled over the empire of Erebonia, the embers of war stir anew just a mere year-and-a-half later in The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel III coming exclusively to PlayStation®4 in Fall 2019!

Meet a new Class VII led by the “Ashen Chevalier” Rean Schwarzer, now a newly minted instructor at Thors Branch Campus. The epic story continues as the cast travels the Empire’s recently acquired lands, only to find themselves ensnared in a devious plot that could plunge them into another war, or an even bigger calamity. New features, such as the “Break System,” bring greater possibilities to combat, while familiar faces of friend and foe make their appearance!

The announcement trailer gives us a glimpse at what to expect from the game, but if you are a fan of JRPG games, then this is a must have for sure.

Update: There is a collector’s edition available for Trails of Cold Steel 3 from NISA. It is going to set you back $99 but will come with the following bonus.

The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel 3 will be out in Fall 2019. Before their release, the first two games are also releasing for the PS4 as HD Remasters, which are ports of the PC version.
