The Long Dark update version 1.40 is live now on PS4 and Xbox One. It was available for the PC early this week.
This is a small hotfix for The Long Dark, a survival adventure game available now on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. This hotfix was released earlier for the PC version and it has just gone live for the PS4 and Xbox One.

Recently, the developers had announced that Episode three for The Long Dark will be delayed in a development update for November. To reduce the impact of the negative news. they also shared that Episode One and Two for The Long Dark will receive a Redux version later in December.
There was no update shared on a new date for The Long Dark episode three for now. As for the update version 1.40, it doesn’t seem to add much to the game aside from the online messaging feature which likely isn’t that big of a deal.
The Long Dark is available now on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. It launched as an early access release first and then was later released with the first public version.
