The Surge Update Version 1.15 Is Out Now; Here’s What It Does

The Surge has been updated to a new version in time for the launch of the downloadable expansion, however, if you were wondering why the update size is large, it is because of the DLC that is incorporated in the update itself.

The Surge was developed by Deck 13 and published by Focus Home Interactive. It is a souls-like game set in a science fiction setting. The game received good reviews at launch and was later expanded with a DLC titled ‘A Walk In The Park’. The new update adds another DLC to the game and while you are required to purchase the DLC to unlock it, the update is mandatory to download weighing in at over 3 GB.

The Good, the Bad, and the Augmented is the new DLC for The Surge and included in the update. In addition, this patch also has bug fixes implemented but there are no patch notes available as of yet.

Enter the bowels of the CREO facility and explore an old and abandoned Quality Assurance lab created to push CREO’s tech to the limit. Warren will face Dr. Rischboter’s deadly test chambers that, for some reason, feel like torn straight out of a twisted Wild West TV show!

Fight through the mad doctor’s training rooms and try modifying them yourself for increased rewards by combining up to 4 of the 16 insane modifiers available. At the end of each stage, fight against distinct Challengers, powerful opponents forged from the training scenarios who are equipped with 30 unique new equipment pieces – armors, weapons, and implants – that you can take for yourself!

The Surge is now available to download on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
